It was a hectic day at work. My team had decided to send me on official work to Denver. It was weird hearing this, as I had lived all my life at Phoenix. However, work called for and I had no option but to accept it. Of course, this inversely meant that it called for shifting my home. I hated shifting my home. I couldn’t call it an OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), but it was the way I was made. I liked the way things were and wasn’t an enthusiastic participant to change, leave alone it being good or bad!
‘You report there a week from now’, my boss informed me with a cheer. Looked like he was a man on Cloud Nine now, as he was getting rid of me! I needed help. When I told I had lived all my life at Phoenix, I meant it. I did not know much of the other cities. With a multitude of questions popping up in my mind, I took off from the office. I had a week’s time off to settle myself in the city of Denver. ‘Movers… Movers.. Movers…’ I mumbled, munching my way into a burger, as I browsed the various options available for a person who needed to move. Finally my eyeballing stopped at this site. Movers from many cities in the US had registered with this site to offer their services, and also avail them online if required! I scrolled my way down to Movers in Phoenix. The Mover’s booking page had a variety of plans. There were also columns for express plans. I booked a mover and looked up at the clock. That had taken hardly a few minutes, and half my woes were solved. I went to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee, sat back, and enjoyed a late night TV show.

There are occasions when things work out so well for you that it seems that you are riding on the crest of a fortune wave. It was the same with me. A couple of months have passed since I fell in love with this pretty thing from Denver. I never knew that she would change the pattern of my life in such a way. I also did not know that later on our courtship would also involve Denver movers .She had such a cheery and infectious smile that cannot be explained in words. She was extremely smart too. To keep things short, I proposed to her and she was willing to marry me. There was just one request from her side. She did not want me to stay in the seedy locality I was residing in now and wanted me to shift to her place.
The problem is that I just did not have the time or the resources. My office work demanded me to go on an overseas trip within a fortnight. I had planned to take her along with me. This would not be the perfect honeymoon, but by boss was willing to share some f my expenses. But how would I shift home at such short notice? I called up my sweetheart and explained my problems to her. I told you before that she is smart.
She told me about a particular moving company in Denver. They were situated close to me and would manage to shift my belongings to my new abode on schedule. These movers in Denver were extremely efficient and managed the task of moving my goods in just a few days.

While there is no doubt that I am thoroughly efficient in moving my goods from one place to the other, there are certain occasions which demand that I seek the help of professionals. I clearly remember the occasion when I had to hire the services of movers in Miami to shift my belongings from the ground floor of my abode to the 2nd floor. The meteorological department had predicted lots of rains over the next few days. The area where I used to reside was on a lower level than its neighborhoods and used to get flooded easily. There was no option for me apart fro seeking the help of Miami moving companies to help me with my task.
I was really impressed with their professionalism and the way they approached the task in hand. I had just to guide them where to shift my belongings and their professional team took care of the rest. In fact I doubt whether I could have done the task better if I had done it personally. Now that I have to leave this old dwelling of mine and have to shift over to another part of town, I have no reservations in calling them for the task. The same moving company that had shifted my belongings from one floor to the other in less than 4 hours will be entrusted the job this time again. I am sure that they shall easily be able to complete this task within the allotted time frame of one week that I shall be providing them with.

My title is a true story. It’s a tragic beginning but ends on a happy note. I firmly believed, moving was nothing more than dumping goodies onto a large truck, driving it to your new location, and unloading. Little did I realize that this applied to only construction site raw materials! Hence, when I had […]

Deadlines are indeed necessary. But when they get dangerously close, it looks like a monster waiting to gobble up your pride and dignity, to portray you as this procrastinator who loved watching his new boss, blow his head off over the non-arrival of you on the joining date. My story seemed a lot similar to […]
